Castellar - Cima Longoria

Hi there fellow hikers,

I hope you are not too busy buying xmas gifts. The weather looks splendidly good for Saturday, autumn weather with sunshine, sunshine and sunshine. Thus I propose the tour of the Cima Longoira above Castellar. It is one of the beautiful coastal hikes in the surroundings of Menton with views over the mediterranean from Italy to St Tropez on the one side and the panoramic summits of the Mercantour in the backdrop, already snow covered. Also Corsia is visible if the air is clear enough.

Duration: about 2h to go up, 2h to go down plus time for picnic
Meeting point: Parking of the cemetery of 06500 Castellar

The starting point is also easily accessible via public transport with bus number 6 leaving at 8:55 from Menton Gare routiere. From Menton SNCF to the gare routiere is 350m / 5min walk.

You should have the usual:

• proper shoes
• water
• food for picnic / lunch stop
• sun glasses, sun screen
• rain coat, pullover
