Rules
đź“… 1. League Format & Schedule

Game Duration
• Each match is 50 minutes long, made up of 4 × 10-minute innings per team. An innings also ends if all batters are out before time expires.

Punctuality
• Matches must start at the scheduled time

👥 2. Teams & Players

Team Size
• Minimum 6 players, maximum 10 players on the field.

Gender Mix
• In mixed teams, no more than 5 male players on the field at once (if you choose to enforce a gender balance rule).

Substitutions
• Subs can be made only at half-time between innings.

Registration & Waivers
• All players must sign a waiver before playing in their their match.

âšľ 3. Gameplay Rules

Bowling
• Bowling must be underarm.
• A good ball must reach between the batter’s shoulders and knees as it crosses the batting line.

No-Balls
• A ball is a no-ball if it bounces before the batting line or is outside the allowed height range.
• On no-balls, batters may run but cannot be caught out.

Batting
• Batters must run after third strike.
• They must run after hitting or missing a good ball (unless a no-ball is called).

Running the Bases
• Run around posts 1 through 4 in order.
• All play stops when the bowler holds the ball (dead ball).

❌ 4. Ways a Batter Can Be Out

A batter is out if they:
• Are caught on a good ball.
• Are stumped at a base before reaching it.
• Run to a base that’s already been stumped.
• Interfere deliberately with the play or act dangerously.
• Are overtaken by a following batter.
• Slide to make ground instead of running (no sliding).

Once out, batters must move away from the playing area.

đź§® 5. Scoring

Points (Rounders) are awarded as follows:
• 1 rounder — reach the 4th post on a good ball or no-ball.
• ½ rounder — reach the 4th post without hitting the ball.
• ½ rounder — reach 2nd post after hitting the ball (but stop before 4th).
• ½ rounder penalty — for obstruction by the fielding team or three consecutive no-balls.
• 1 rounder — for reaching 4th post on a backward hit (stay at 1st base until the ball returns forward).

The team with the most rounders wins. In ties you can decide by total full rounders scored.

🧑‍⚖️ 6. Conduct & Sportsmanship

• Rounders is self-umpired — players are expected to call fair plays and respect opponents.
• Dissent, abusive language, or misconduct can lead to warnings, suspensions, or ejection from the league.
• Any playing conditions that are unsafe (e.g., poor light, dangerous ground) should stop play immediately.

Safety
• No spiked shoes
• Remove sharp jewellery or secure it safely.
