Join us for our Squash Sessions happening every Monday / Wednesday / Thursday 6pm to 8pm or 8pm to 10pm Suitable for beginners to the Squash Regulars. Each Session is $15 for pay per play. You can also enquire about being a member when you arrive. We use Meetup.com to advertise the session and our members use a private whatsapp group to register. Most people in Singapore haven’t tried beach tennis yet — and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. It’s fast-paced like tennis, social like volleyball, and played barefoot on sand. You don’t need prior experience, and the learning curve is surprisingly quick. Beach tennis is big in Brazil, and it’s now starting to pick up in Singapore. Sessions are run by Pacific Beach Tennis Academy, which is Singapore's first dedicated beach tennis academy. If you’re looking to: – try a new sport without pressure – meet people in a more relaxed setting – or just switch things up from your usual workouts this might be worth checking out. **For ages 17 and above.** There are two types of waltzes that are performed in most ballrooms - the Slow Waltz and the Viennese Waltz. The classical Viennese Waltz is a quick ballroom dance that involves the dancers swirling around the whole dance floor, seemingly without touching the ground. The slightly easier Slow Waltz is a favourite dance among beginners and social dancers. **For ages 8 and above.** These 3 traditional martial art forms will be taught during the 2 hour class: * Kalaripayattu * Silambattam * Adimurai **About Kalaripayattu** Thought to be one of the most ancient martial arts in recorded history, Kalaripayattu is derived from two words, “Kalari” signifying battlefield or arena and “payattu” which translates to the words ‘practice’ and ‘exercise’. **About Silambattam** Hailing from the region of Tamil Nadu (India) where it emerged around 1000 BCE, Silamabattam is a popular variant of weapon-based martial arts which is performed with the aid of specific weapons, primarily Rattan staffs, short sticks, deer horns and swords. **About Adimurai** Adimurai is a generic term applied for the indigenous martial arts of the Indian/Tamilian archipelago. Adimurai in general refers to the sport of using techniques derived from Indian and Tamil martial-arts. It uses kicks and boxing-mannered punches to defeat an opponent in ways that are analogous to standard present-day boxing.
