I propose a game of Lost Ruins of Arnak. In the year 19XX, a mysterious island has been discovered. Teams of explorers engage into a race to be the first to decipher the remains of the lost civilisation which inhabited the island. LROA is a game of deck building and worker placement. Across 5 moon phases (5 game rounds), you must balance your turns between gathering resources and spending them to progress through the island and the study of its ruins. All expansions will be available, which does not add much complexity to the base game. We will likely play one of the boards of the last expansion (spider or owl temple).

Unless it rains badly as we're about to play, the game is on. Players of any age, weight, sex and size are allowed. Come as you are, at any time after 4pm. IMPORTANT REMINDER -- As Shitty Players, we don't bite or growl when someone misses the ball. We don't do penalties or yellow cards because we're so gentle we don't need them. We vaguely know of the existence of other rules like off-side but we'd rather ignore them than argue about them. We may or may not keep track of the score: this is a game where everyone wins. For this hike we will ***mostly follow the GR 512 and the Regional GR “Groene Gordel”.*** We’ll explore Grimbergen with its ***12th-century abbey and charming 18th-century Spanish facades*** on the church square. Along the way, we pass the ***MIRA public observatory, some historic watermills, peaceful parks and nature reserves***. We’ll enjoy the ***tranquility of the Sea Canal***, admire ***beautiful farms and country houses*** and take in ***sweeping views across serene fields and landscapes.*** ***After our hike*** we can continue our good habit of ***taking a nice beer/pancake/snack in a local pub*** in Grimbergen before returning to Brussels. **Please don't forget to pay Maikel a drink :-)** We will walk at ***an average speed of 5km/h*** both on paved and unpaved roads. ***I’ve never walked this road before*** so it’s ***possible there are some mistakes in the planning***. Okay, you (at least some of you) asked for it — here it is... **"An Evening with DXO Labs (NIK Collection 8)"** For many, many years, the NIK Collection of photo editing tools has been the coveted add-on of choice for many photographers. To know the story of the NIK Collection is to know happiness, angst, celebration, and innovation. But more of that at the meeting! I will spend a couple of hours going through the most useful tools in the NIK Collection and showing how I use them in my editing workflow. If you aspire to elevate your editing skills and produce better-edited images, this set of tools is worth a look!
