 A Very Improvised Christmas Show — Two Black Cats Improv present a Christmas inspired long-form improv night! Get ready for a cosy, chaotic, very improvised evening of comedy at the Studio Theatre (in the Manoel Theatre complex). We’re kicking off with a handful of short-form games to warm you up, then diving into a Christmas-inspired long-form set — a full, connected, made-on-the-spot story built from your suggestions. Expect weird turns, honest laughs, and totally unique theatre that exists for one night only. We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Join us as we kick the New Year with a fun Happy Hour and your choice of two fun, new films! Option 1 is the biographical-musical-docu-drama, SONG SUNG BLUE, which stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson in the story about a real-life couple and Neil Diamond Tribute Duo. Option 2 is the comedy-action-adventure ACACONDA, which stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd as part of a group of friends remaking a favorite movie from their youth. Not a tribute to Neil Diamond, but a tribute to a Neil Diamond Tribute Band! The film is based on the 2008 documentary of the same name and is directed by Craig Brewer.
