**Welcome to the Paris Poetry Circle!** Now in its 30th year, our English-language poetry reading group continues to bring together lovers of verse and thought in the heart of Paris. 🎉 Join us this Wednesday evening for a gathering of minds and voices as we read and reflect on poems that move, challenge, and illuminate — all shared over some quiet drinks. 🫖☕️🥤🧉🍹 We seek poems that are clear yet profound, sweet or serious — those that carry us forward and help us make sense of the world. We steer clear of the obscure or needlessly complex; we value clarity over cleverness, sincerity over show. Each poem is read anonymously to begin with, without revealing the author, allowing space for open, unbiased interpretation. We then explore it together — carefully, curiously — to uncover what lies beneath the surface. After the meeting, we write a letter of thanks to the living poets we have read at the group, to thank and congratulate them. We revere all the poets of this world. The group is small — usually six or seven thoughtful individuals, up to a maximum of ten. The conversation is warm, intelligent, and grounded. There is no performance, no pressure to contribute, and no cost. Only a shared pursuit of insight, beauty, and fellowship. If that resonates with you, we’d love to welcome you. Rencontrez de nouvelles personnes tout en jouant aux jeux de société ! Le principe : prix d'entrée de 4 euros par personne + une consommation (à renouveler toutes les 2h). Vous pouvez venir seul(e) ou accompagné(e) d'une ou plusieurs personnes, si vous être prêts à accueillir d'autres joueurs à votre table. Join us for a relaxed silent-reading session in a warm and welcoming café/bar. Bring your current read (or grab a new one!), settle in with a drink or snack, and enjoy an hour or two of calm, focused reading alongside fellow book lovers. 📖 No pressure, no agenda—just a peaceful moment to unwind, read, and maybe chat a little afterward. 😊 This group/event is an english-speaking one ( although the books don't have to be). We'll try to find a cozy and comfortable nook to settle into but we can't guarantee total silence. So if you are easily distracted by ambient noise, we recommend you bring a pair of noise canceling headphones 🎧😌 PS: The current café that hosts us every Saturday afternoon, requires a 5€ drink minimum

Si tu as envie de [re]découvrir l'impro dans un cadre ludique et bienveillant cet atelier est fait pour toi ! Ces séances sont ouvertes à tous, débutants, intermédiaires, confirmés. L'atelier se déroule en 2 heures, au programme : Des échauffements dynamiques pour être à l’aise rapidement avec le groupe.
