Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
**Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!** **We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.** **If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward at Prost Beer and Wine Cafe. Www.prostcafe.com** **Blacklick Woods Canopy Walk is at 6711 East Livingston Ave, Reynoldsburg OH**
What Causes Your Roller Coasters in Life?
What Causes Your Roller Coasters in Life?
Do you sometimes feel like you do well in life then something happens and you slide back, never quite getting ahead. At this Meetup you'll find out how to identify what actually causes the lows, the highs and everything in between. More importantly you’ll get the secret of how to gain control over your life so the highs are higher and the lows go away. Wouldn’t it be nice to stop the wild roller coaster ride for good? Or at least make it a fun roller coaster ride, with more ups and downs. There is a hidden factor that will be going over and you’re going to be quite surprised what it is and how much it affects your life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to the event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is hosted at the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center.
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.
Mount Vernon, OH - IN-PERSON RfR Support Group Meeting
Mount Vernon, OH - IN-PERSON RfR Support Group Meeting
The Mount Vernon Recovering From Religion support group will meet each month **on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7 pm - Eastern Time.** Attendees are welcome to share or observe, but may also decide to remain anonymous if they so choose. Agenda: * Greeting and announcements * Everyone introduces themselves briefly (real names are not required) * General discussion on topics related to religious recovery or non-belief (no preaching or proselytizing allowed) * Closing announcements, including referrals to other helpful programs and resources About RFR: The primary focus of a Recovering From Religion support group is to provide ongoing and personal support to individuals as they let go of their religious beliefs. This transitional period is an ongoing process that can result in a range of emotions, as well as a ripple effect of consequences throughout an individual’s life. As such, the support meetings are safe and confidential places to express these doubts, fears, and experiences without biased feedback or proselytizing. We are here to help each other through this journey. There is no cost to attend this support group but, if you feel so inclined, donations can be made at [www.recoveringfromreligion.org/donate](http://www.recoveringfromreligion.org/donate) If you'd like to provide confidential feedback for this meeting, click here [https://forms.gle/yhC7frShmyrRS56G7](https://forms.gle/yhC7frShmyrRS56G7) If you find you need to talk with someone before the next support meeting, RfR has a hotline and online chat for that purpose. Call [844-368-2848](http://tel:+18443682848/) to speak with someone. Go to [www.recoveringfromreligion.org](http://www.recoveringfromreligion.org/) and click on the green chat bubble in the lower left corner of the site to chat online. If you are in need of professional help, we can offer the Secular Therapy Project to provide options to connect with a professional therapist. All therapists have been thoroughly vetted by our organization and offer only evidence-based and non-religious treatment. Connect with them at [www.seculartherapy.org.](http://www.seculartherapy.org./) Like what RfR does? Why not volunteer! There are quite a few options. Head over to [www.recoveringfromreligion.org/volunteer](http://www.recoveringfromreligion.org/volunteer) for more info.
