Let's start getting together once per month for a series of lightning talks, discussion, and meeting other women in code in Paris!

Save the date Wednesday, March 23rd. Location to be announced soon. If you know anywhere with cool tech-y office space email emily@womenwhocode.com.

What is a lightning talk?

A lightning talk is a very short talk (10 minutes or less!) on a subject relevant to code, women in technical careers, professional advice, cool new programming languages, design, French tech, an interesting code concept you recently learned...up to you.

Giving a lightning talk is a great way to become more comfortable speaking in front of other people and sharing your ideas.

Examples: sharing your first experiences with Swift, discussing an insightful blog post you recently read on women in the workplace, describing a project you recently worked on...

Who can give a lightning talk?

Anyone! Just email your idea (just a few sentences) to emily@womenwhocode.com beforehand, and I'll add you to the lineup.

Should it be in French or English?

Your choice!

Do I have to give a lightning talk in order to attend?

No! You can come just to listen and learn new things as well. There's no pressure to speak.

What happens after lightning talks?

We'll have space for discussion, questions, and mingling.
