Join Counter Culture Labs for an exciting workshop focused on DIY just-for-fun biotechnology! We will be making colorful agar art with our engineered glowing microorganisms. Agar is the substrate on which microbes grow on.

In this workshop, you will draw out a picture on the petri dish using our microbes and after a few days, the colorful colonies will form and your art will be visible!

The theme is Winter and Christmas art, so draw christmas trees, snowmen, presents, and anything you can think of on the three petri dishes provided! ❄️ Our genetically engineered organisms can't leave the lab but we'll send you pictures of your art piece so you can appreciate the beauty of microorganisms.

This is a family-friendly event so we have tiered pricing! Tickets are $30 per adult. $15 for youth 17 and under. Youth must be accompanied by their guardian. Promo code: "YOUTH" for discount

Proceeds will go towards our lab's aquatic biology division - we're growing coral in saltwater tanks! 🐠🪸 Come check it out in-person. Did you know that many chromoproteins and fluorescent proteins come from the sea? These molecules are what gives our microbes spectacular color!

Unable to attend? Interested in other classes like plant genetic engineering and CRISPR? Join our mailing list to hear about upcoming workshops! http://eepurl.com/iXGV5Q
