Denver Fun Young Adults 20s to 40s

As the weather heats up , we're gonna be at the park enjoying each others company and playing some Volleyball. (Weather pending as always)
Look for all the volleyball nets with the RED MARINE CORPS flags!!!!! (oh Rah) south of the Rec center at Wash Park by the 2 Big trees!
This is a social (non-competitive) event. Whether you've been playing your whole life or this is your first time touching a Volleyball, we'll make space for you. No spikes to the face and no yelling at newbies. This is a friendly environment where everyone is welcomed and you don't have to say you are sorry if you mess up! Just come out, have fun, and make some new friends.
Look for the red Marine Corps flag or white Army flag and you will find us! We usually have 3-5 nets set up so everyone can jump in to play. Feel free to bring your own net, other outdoorsy games, or just socialize.
We always welcome all ability levels & all age groups and never charge a fee. However, we do require the desire to play 3 Hit Volleyball Skills as explained below. The organizers of this event bring several nets to help satisfy all ability levels. However, if you bring your own net you are welcomed to dictate the level of play that you are interested in playing and you may choose your own players as you desire. We are a very friendly social group and want everybody to fit in to their ability level and have a pleasant experience. We will help new players as best we can to help them develop 3 Hit Volleyball Skills on a specific net if feasible. If you are new to this group, please introduce yourself to the organizers, and we will do our best to help you fit into this group.
Highly recommended items to bring are lawn chair, ball cap, suntan lotion, and bottled water.
Remember, this is 3 hit volleyball ( Bump, Set, Spike ) as oppose to Jungleball. We will train newcomers if they are not familiar with these skills..
Our goal is to satisfy all ability levels and get all interested players who show up involved in the action.
We also accept donations to help out on organizing events, future BBQ events with meat/utensils/etc, fuel for the grill, equipment upkeep, meetup fees, etc. We will have a donation tin for cash donations, but you can also use

I've reached out to Western Sky Bar & Taproom and they've agreed to host us for a monthly Jackbox Party Game night.

Jackbox is a collection of party games including drawing, word games, trivia, and more. All you need to bring is your phone, a good attitude, and a sense of humour!

Western Sky has plenty of parking right on the street so no need to worry about space. They have pizza and pretzels and a wide selection of beer. Come on down and lets have a good time.

When and where
We leave the Belleview Elementary School parking lot at 5:45 PM, so please try to arrive a few minutes before then. If you are running late or can't find us, leave a comment or send a DM!

Pace and distance
Our typical run is around 4.5 miles at a steady 9-11:00 minute/mile pace. However, this varies depending on who shows up!

Group size
We usually have around 5-10 people attend, depending on the weather and season. Many of us have been coming for years; some people come every week, while others come less frequently.

This is a small, dedicated running group that's been meeting consistently for several years (formerly under Colorado Runs). We're a friendly, tight-knit group that welcomes new members who are looking to make friends, train for races, or find consistent running partners.
