Open Class EdTech #7 - Global Perspectives on the Future of Learning

This Open Class will discuss global perspectives on the future of learning. How do americans, chileans, kiwis, australians, indians, koreans, south africans learn? and what innovations are being build by them? for which purposes?

We will amongst other things, discover the cases of micro-schools and project-based-learning schools in the USA, see how chilean kids learn science with their mobiles, learn about the innovative pedagogy of a cluster of schools in new zealand that uses tech as a tool to enhance learning and get students out of poverty, look at how australian schools put teachers at the forefront of school innovation, see that flipping the classroom helps korean students be more engaged in the classroom, discover how artificial intelligence can bridge the english learning gap in India and how a South African start-up uses adaptive learning technologies to personalize maths and science learning.

For our 7th Open Class and the first one of this new accademic year, we will have the chance to welcome Svenia Busson, the co-founder of the Edtech World Tour (http://edtechworldtour.com/) a global study on Education Innovation and Edtech she undertook with Audrey Jarre. With this project she and Audrey wanted to contribute to the development of thoughtful usage of educational technologies in the international community by sharing the vision and efforts that were deployed for its promotion in various EdTech hubs around the world. She now wants to commit herself to foster Education Innovation in France by helping Education Changemakers.

Svenia studied both political science in Berlin and management at HEC Paris and is also passionate about the evolution of education in our century.

This Open Class is the perfect opportunity to discuss about creativity in education and to meet with various kind of change-makers of education (students, researchers, startupers, teachers...) ! This is the first one of the cycle for the academic year 2016-2017. Next one in November, stay tuned !

This Open Class will be followed by a Q&A session and a convivial moment for discussion and networking.
