Please join us for our next OpenMetadata Community Meetup, "Building an Open Context Layer with OpenMetadata"! Frontier labs like OpenAI have built internal data agents on a context layers that tell AI what data exists, in this meetup will show how you can build your own with OpenMetadata!
This month's meetup will also have 2 new Community Spotlights! First, Dani Albasha and Olli Honkkila from Arizona State University will be presenting. Dani is the Data Success Lead at Arizona State University (ASU), leading efforts to advance data discovery and improve user experience across the analytics ecosystem. Olli is the Data Governance and Administration Manager and Chair of ASU’s Data Stewards Working Group, leading data governance and stewardship efforts across the university. ASU, a public research university ranked as the most innovative university in the United States, deployed OpenMetadata earlier this year. Dani and Olli will share insights from ASU’s journey with OpenMetadata, including lessons learned and opportunities to drive data discovery, governance, and community engagement at scale.
Then, Maksim Zolotarev, Head of Data Platform & ML at Tabby, will join us! At Tabby, Maksim is responsible for the development of the corporate Data Platform, which includes services and technologies for managing every stage of the data lifecycle. The Data Platform engineering teams place significant emphasis on the metadata and observability layers. OpenMetadata successfully combines everything needed to build a modern data catalog with the ability to leverage continuously accumulated knowledge through LLM tools and AI systems.
