18 km fontainebleau forest hike + chateau (level easy-to-moderate)
Détails
See beautiful things and meet beautiful people this sunday!
An 18km hike is quite short so it should not be too difficult, walking around the Fontainebleau forest with only a few easy hills to climb.
Not a slow walking pace of about 4.5km/hour, this way we can see & do a maximum of things in the minimum of time
(including a tour around the chateau).
--> join only if you're on the Main List & available (or update your Reply please).
- To take with you:
- your packed lunch, snacks for the day, about 1.2L water (incl. some in a thermos bottle as recommended in winter time),
- an adequate hiking gear (incl. shoes) + something waterproof to sit on,
- there is a hike fee of 5€/person - or 3€ for students/unemployed - so pls carry exact change with you if possible
but this event can be free if that's too much for you currently (but this is only upon prior request).
- Train details:
we take the 9.38am train GOMO going towards Montargis
to be found around platform M, N or L in Gare de Lyon / ground level / by the TGV's, Starbucks etc.
Plan to be there at least 15 mins before.
From 9.20 we go & sit inside the train (around 4th carriage)
& we get off in the station "Avon-Fontainebleau" at about 10.22am.
--> Return to Paris at about 5.45pm from another station on the same line.
Free trains with the Navigo "December 2019" Pass only (buy it at least 1 day in advance otherwise too many ppl usually queue up to buy it specially on 1st day of the month)
or 18.50€ with the Mobilis day pass for zones 1-5: same same, try to buy it 1 or 2 day before if you can - from any métro/RER station.
you cannot buy return tickets as we will come back from another station on the line --> ONLY purchase a zone 1-5 "Mobilis Pass" please.
Et donc, à dimanche matin vers 9h20 maximum en gare de Lyon,
Merci.
Pls update your RSVP --> to No, if you can't make it anymore.
