A monthly songwriting workshop brought to you by Paris Lit Up.
Once a month, the Right Bank Songwriters’ Group gets together to share songs, exchange feedback and see what other songwriters are working on in Paris.
Bring along a song you’re working on, whether it’s finished or still taking shape. You can share lyrics, play or sing your song for the group, ask for advice on something you’re stuck on, or simply come along to listen and join the conversation.
Performances during the workshop are acoustic only. Bring your guitar or whatever instrument you play and write songs for. A keyboard will be provided.
The workshop is a place to experiment and get another perspective on your work. Maybe you’re looking for feedback on a lyric that isn’t quite working, wondering whether a chorus needs something more, or just curious to hear how a song lands with other people.
If you’d like feedback on your lyrics, please bring around 10 printed copies so that everyone can follow along and make notes.
We’re especially interested in bringing together the different songwriters working in and around Paris, so it’s also a chance to hear what other international songwriters are creating, chat about songwriting and music, and get to know one another.
You don’t need to be a professional musician or performer, and songs at any stage of development are welcome.
The workshop costs 5€, which helps Paris Lit Up cover the cost of renting the space. Cash or card accepted.
