Note: This group is for women only.
Are you a single woman in the Ottawa area, wanting to make friends with other terrific single women? Then this group is for you! We'll have monthly social events like movie nights, dinners, concerts, hikes in the park. There will sometimes be free or low-cost workshops as well.
Note that the focus of this group is on creating a community for single women. It's not about dating. So sorry guys, women only in this group. :) There are other mixed singles groups you can join. If you're lesbian, you are very welcome to attend (just know this group is about making friends, not dating). Thanks for your understanding. :)

There is no age restriction on this group, other than that you must be an adult (so 18+). We have people between the ages of 20 and 70+. :)
NO-SHOW POLICY.
Here are the 3 small things I'm asking of you to be a member of this group:
1. Please only RSVP if you are a true YES (not a maybe). Most of our events have a wait list, so you saying yes when you're not sure takes a spot from someone who is sure. Be sure to mark it in your calendar once you commit.
2. If you RSVPed yes and can no longer attend, please update your RSVP ASAP, and no later than 48 hours before the event. Last-minute cancellations inconvenience me, the venue, and the person who could have attended.
3. Please show your appreciation & respect for me & other Meetup organizers, and for the staff at the restaurants/venues who host us.
Not respecting these rules will result in immediate removal from the group. Please provide this information to any friends you invite...if you're adding a guest, you are responsible for their RSVP also. Don't add them if you're not sure they are coming.
Most women don't like it when men don't commit or cancel last-minute on dates, so the golden rule applies here...treat others as you wish to be treated.
So please, if you say you're coming, COMMIT. Unless you have a true emergency (in which case you can message me or whoever is hosting), there is no excuse for cancelling with less than 48 hours notice.
