Picnic at the Speakers' Corner

The Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park is a historic site for public speaking, debate, and protest. Let's meetup there to listen and watch. If we're lucky, there will be talented speakers.

Then we will look for a spot away from the attention of the crowd and practice a few speaking rounds between ourselves. Being outdoors, we will train clear articulation and voice projection.

What works to get the attention of listeners: being bigger than life, showering them with good energy, pleasure to be alive, enthusiasm!

Then we will sit on the grass and eat sandwiches from our bags.

I, Jean-Marc will lead this session. As a storyteller (storytelling is a performing art) I have the experience of being on stage, on my own, and hold adults' or children's attention for one hour or more. When I came to London, I retrained my skills speaking English with Toastmasters.
