ANNUAL SUMMER BBQ AND BIKE RIDE :-)
This will be a relaxed and sociable paced off road bike ride from my parents house at Holly Lodge Hale Forest Rd SP6 2NR followed by a bring your own BBQ
Fridges and BBQs provided at venue and pool so bring your swimmers! Drop food off in pool house before ride and park in dry flat field at back of house ( use road to RHS of bungalow) Bring what you want to cook / eat plus plate / cutlery so I dont end up with loads of washing up ;-)
Meet 10.45am for 11am set off to aim to be back for 1pm. I'm sure we can get other leaders to chip in if more than 15 or so
Mountain bike (or hybrid) needed - Mostly bike tracks / some minor roads.
SAFETY – PLEASE READ!!!
· You MUST have these details in your bag in case of any issues - typed up: full name, address, date of birth, NHS no. ideally, any allergies, any medical issues, emergency contact names / numbers ( 2 please) If you have details in your phone also then all the better.
· You MUST have your mobile phone with you, charged, with back up charger and with leaders number stored in it for your safety ( 07931 350642)
· You MUST wear a helmet and bring spare inner tube / puncture repair kits.
· We will use the “Buddy” system instead of backmarking – each person will choose a “buddy” and at every turn / stop / junction etc check their buddy is still with group – means no one has to get stuck at the back too much! (NB Buddy method does not mean you have to stick with same person for whole ride!)
· Please know your own abilities and fitness levels – you ride at your own risk.
If I do have to cancel due to weather / illness etc I will note this on here - please therefore do check website before you set off for the ride. I use the Met Office weather forecast FYI

Please be ready to leave by 10am.
Please join me in exploring the amazing and very picturesque Devil's Punch Bowl and surrounding areas. Meet at the Cyder House Inn car park in Shackleford where I have booked a table after the ride for lunch - please let me know if you won't be staying. They are going to try to remember to lift the barrier of the pub car park early but there are plenty of spaces on the road outside if they forget!
