Dinners and events are intentionally planned, often in limited-capacity settings, and may require advance commitment or prepayment to ensure smooth coordination.

This is a space for those who appreciate good food, engaging conversation, exploration, and genuine community.

Join me for dinner at Outerlands - a cozy, chef-driven spot tucked into the Outer Sunset, just steps from Ocean Beach, known for its rustic, seasonal cooking and warm, understated atmosphere.

I’ve been here for brunch (thanks Donna, if you’re reading this) and have been meaning to try it for dinner.

If the weather allows, I’ll plan to arrive early for a beach walk. Feel free to join, or meet us at the restaurant.

The reservation is secured on my credit card, so please be mindful of your RSVP. If your plans change, update to "Not Going" at least 2 days in advance.

A bit about the chef

Japanese-born chef with a background in French cuisine

Trained in Michelin-starred kitchens in both Japan and France

His style is very refined, seasonal, and technique-driven

At Mijoté, he creates an intimate tasting menu experience

Prix fixe is $84 (plus tax, tip mandate). Prepayment will be collected on May 4

Please note Mijote has a strict 48-hour cancellation policy, and your payment will only be refunded if your seat is filled.

Join me for an evening with Sina Bathaie as he brings his White Lotus World Tour to the Bay Area - an immersive live performance blending Eastern tradition with modern electronic sound.

Following the success of his 2025 Shade of Memory World Tour, Sina returns with an expanded global journey spanning 30+ countries and 70 cities, sharing new work and his evolving sound.

Sina Bathaie is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer known for his improvisational style and deeply emotive performances. Using instruments like the oud and ukulele, he creates layered soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive - rooted in tradition but undeniably modern.
He’s performed across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, with sold-out shows in cities like Sydney, London, Oslo, and Los Angeles.

I'm drawn to chef-owned restaurants and 3rd Cousin is a great example. A Michelin Guide "new discovery", it showcases Chef Greg Lutes' seasonal, globally influenced approach rooted in California ingredients.

Join me to see what he's creating in his kitchen. We'll be doing the 5-course tasting menu ($98).
