This is an invitation to a 90-minute interactive morning exploring the rooms that drain you — and why...with coffee/tea, a snack and a gift bag.

Come with a floor plan. Leave with a different way of seeing your home and armed with a clear strategy to fix it.

* If you don't have a floorplan, no worries. Sketch as accurate birds eye view of your priority space as possible, noting window openings and all key points in the space.

* You'll map the rooms that cost you the most energy, then explore a few ordinary spaces through a different lens: light, sound, visual complexity, movement, privacy, predictability and the way a room asks you to behave.

* You'll notice things before I explain them.

* Then we'll look at what research can tell us about why those things matter.

* And somewhere along the way, you'll probably recognise something about your own home that you hadn't noticed before.

That's the point.

During the morning, you will:

* Map your home's friction points: Identify the rooms and situations that seem to demand more from you than they give back.

* Look before you explain: Take part in a guided observation exercise designed to make the sensory qualities of a space visible.

* Discover why the same room can affect two people differently: There isn't one universal version of a comfortable home.

* See the pattern in the room: We'll build a live heat map from the group and look at what happens when different people respond to the same kinds of spaces.

* Choose one change to take home: Not a shopping list. Not a renovation project. One specific shift worth testing in your own environment.

There is no ideal home. There is only a better relationship between the person and the space.

A room can be beautiful and still be difficult to live in.
A room can be perfectly functional and still leave you depleted.
And a room that feels wonderful to one person may be surprisingly demanding to another.

That doesn't mean something is wrong with either person.

It means the relationship between environment and individual matters.

We will be exploring the relationship between your home environment and how it is working, or not working for you.

You just need to bring yourself — and a rough sketch of the rooms in your home.
