Are you talking about Kellari?  It IS beautiful, and the food is superior.  You can order Greek-style by getting a series of appetizers and everyone sharing.  The appetizers are big enough for 2-3 people to really have a good time, so you figure you order 3 or 4 of them, et voila!  everyone eats beautifully.  And the wines ... all Greek but comparable to the best of Napa Valley (not just mavrodaphne ... but sauvignon blancs, cabs ... more).

 

All that, and it's reasonably priced.  You will not leave there with sticker shock.  They play great music, too, and if you stay late they put in the  Greek CDs.  Very cool place.

 

Oh, and at the bar they offer free noshing on hard cheese and toasted baguette slices as well as a GIANT bowl of mixed olives.  The bartenders are always happy to give you a taste of a wine before you commit.  Great place for a drink after work.

 

Get there soon, before the weather gets cold and they bring the low upholstered couches inside for the winter.  It's nice when the doors are open and the bar tables spill out onto the sidewalk.  They've also added a big, family sized table (a really long one) to just sit at and enjoy your drink, without having to order dinner.  I suggest this might be the spot for a birthday party!
