Community Intro and Welcoming
.NET 5, 6, and 7 for busy developers
Many developers are still using .NET Core 3.1, even though it reached EOL in 2022.
We now have .NET 5, .NET 6, and .NET 7 available, each with some improvements and new functionalities.
In this session, we're going to explore the most important things a .NET developer should know about the newest versions of the framework.
Speaker: Davide Bellone
Senior backend developer (.NET) | Author of Code4IT.dev | Microsoft MVP
Easily host your .net app in Linux App Service Plans
Azure App Service Plans provides a relatively easy way to get your APIs deployed in the cloud, with a lot of functionality available under the hood to support larger scale applications.
In this session we will look at where Azure App Service Plans fit into the hosting landscape, and show how easy it is to host your .net application.
The demo will consider a simple API with a swagger endpoint. We will build the API into a docker image, push the image to Azure Container Registry, and publish it as a web app to a Linux based Azure App Service Plan.
