Bomba Workshop

Puerto Rico is coming to Apopka Florida. Overlooking the beautiful Wekiwa Springs State Park woods in a private living room venue, we will be learning all the components of Bomba with the venerable ambassador Mari Dixon of the 813 P.R.oject.

Come learn on drums (bring any hand drum you have although we'll have plenty to borrow), cua, and maraca while also exploring the rich history, culture, and songs/dance of this beautiful tradition.

We need a minimum of 10 participants to run this course. It maxes out at 20. We plan to do this once a month, so get involved and stay tuned.

Duration: Approximately 1.75 hours.
Cost: We accept a $15 cash/check/online payment donation per class or other forms of barter/trade/contributions on a case by case basis. Some scholarships are available for those who apply.
