Choose Your Movie: BRING HER BACK vs BALLERINA at Cinemark Stoneridge!

Join us as we get together for a Choose Your Movie event to see your choice of two GREAT new releases! Option 1 is the very creepy-looking horror/thriller from A24, BRING HER BACK! Option 2 is the action-thriller from the world of John Wick: BALLERINA! Since both films are relatively short (at or just over 90 minutes), we’ll try to make this a Double Feature opportunity (for anyone else who'd like to see 'em both)! BRING HER BACK: A brother and sister witness a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother. The film is directed by Danny and Michael Philippou (the duo behind 2022’s excellent Talk to Me) and stars the always excellent Sally Hawkins, along with Billy Barratt, Sora Wong and Jonah Wren Phillips. Early reviews say this isn't just a movie -- it's an experience, a film that chills to the bone while tugging at the heartstrings. BALLERINA: From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (or simply Ballerina) follows Eve Macarro, a ballerina-assassin, begins to train in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma and sets out to exact revenge for her father's death. It is directed by Chad Stahelski and stars Anda de Armas in the title role, alongside Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane and Keunu Reeves. Ana de Armas stars in the lead role, alongside Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus. In addition, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick (in his final screen appearance), Ian McShane and Keanu Reeves reprise their roles from the previous films. PLAN: Here’s the plan: For those seeing BALLERINA, please purchase your ticket for the 6:10pm showing and meet in the lobby area between 5:45pm and 6:00pm! I believe most of the group will be seeing this film. For those interested in BRING HER BACK, please purchase your ticket for the 5:30pm showing and meet in the theater lobby area between 5:15 and 5:25pm. Advance ticket purchase for either film is advised! Once you have yours, please list your movie of choice and seat number in the Comments section for this event. A couple additional notes:
NOTE 1: I believe most of those who wanted to see Bring Her Back have already watched it so this will likely be a heavy Ballerina crowd. But, if just one person wants to see Bring Her Back, post a note in the Comments sections and I’ll plan to see it with you so at a minimum we’ll have a group of two! (I’ll likely recruit someone to assist in hosting the Ballerina portion.)
NOTE 2: Apologies for those early showtimes! Showtimes at most all theaters were extremely uncooperative for this pairing of films! Most gave us early 5pm or late 8pm showings. The best showtimes were at non-discounted theaters or screens. A bit earlier than usual but we’ll just cross our fingers and hope for the best!
