Welcome to DevFest Pisa 2024
Just at the beginning of Pisa's summer, DevFest Pisa 2024 is looking to be the hottest tech event in the area!

DevFest is an event hosted by GDG (Google Developers Group) communities worldwide, and GDG Pisa is no stranger to DevFests. After the resounding success of DevFest Pisa 0.1, DevFest Pisa 2019 and DevFest Pisa 2023, GDG Pisa is organizing DevFest Pisa 2024. Join us for a day-long event of tech talks, soft talks and so much more!

What to expect
DevFest Pisa 2024 is a free event open to anyone willing to meet new people and learn about new topics. DevFest Pisa will feature 3 parallel tracks, from early in the morning to late in the afternoon, with world-famous and local speakers talking about a wide array of topics: if you like tech you WILL find something interesting for you.

As a community event, we also put a huge focus on unifying the community and allowing networking to happen, so if intend on meeting new people and expanding your network DevFest Pisa 2024 will be a great opportunity for that to happen in front of some food and drinks.

Also, we strongly believe that there's more to a developer than just the raw knowledge of programming languages that they know, and that knowing how to work together or appreciate each other's uniqueness is a big part of being a professional. For this reason we offer a wide array of soft talks that will let you learn more about those soft skills, in collaboration with WTM Pisa's International Women's Day (IWD), also hosted within the DevFest Pisa.

Keep in mind that the official language of the event is English, but we also have dedicated talks in Italian. The event is best suited if you speak both languages, but we try to keep a good balance between the two languages if you only speak one of them!

How to participate
The event is free, but since the venue limits the amount of participants we can hold, grabbing a ticket is mandatory to access the event. Eventbrite is the official platform, so please go ahead and book a ticket as soon as possible! Tickets from other platforms are NOT valid for access, please reach out to the organizers if you have any questions!

Nicola Corti, Kotlin GDE | Android Infra Engineer

Nicola Corti is a Google Developer Expert for Kotlin. He has been working with the language since before version 1.0 and he is the maintainer of several open-source libraries and tools.

He's currently working as Android Engineer in the React Native Core Team at Meta in London, UK.

Furthermore, he is an active member of the developer community.
His involvement goes from speaking at international conferences about Mobile development to leading communities across Europe (GDG Pisa, KUG Hamburg, GDG Sthlm Android).

In his free time, he also loves baking, photography, and running.
