The Leader-as-Host, a new yet ancient metaphor with Mark McKergow

Dettagli

Dr Mark McKergow, author of 'Host - 6 New Roles of Engagement for Teams, Organizations, Communities, Movements', will explain us how a Host Leader will increase engagement and relationship quality in organizations once you have learned how to dance real smooth back-and-forth.

The classic view of a Leader as someone who simply issues information & direction is obsolete.

The shortcomings of the leader-as-Hero are becoming increasingly clear. At the same time, the leader-as-Servant also suffers from problems of misinterpretation and lack of apparent relevance.

Step forward (leader-as-hero) and Step Back (servant-leader) aren't the only style of leaderships especially in a world in which we are asked to solved wicked problems which need collective engagement to be solved.

The metaphor of the Leader-as-Host offers a view on leadership that is at once rooted in millennia of practice and at the same time is something new and timely.

The meetup will be Online and in English.
