Urban Walk: Exploring Naples’ City with a special guest!

Matthew is in town for one week, and to spend time together, we’ve organized an urban walk to discover some of Naples’ most captivating spots.
We’ll start with breakfast in the Vomero neighborhood at Stairs around 10:30 AM. From there, we’ll head to the historic Certosa di San Martino, known for its rich history and breathtaking views. Then we’ll descend along the Pedamentina, an ancient staircase connecting Vomero to the city center. We’ll continue through Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Petraio until we reach Piazza San Pasquale, where we can enjoy lunch at Tucci’s or choose another nearby option.
In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to the famous Castel dell’Ovo, Naples’ oldest fortress perched on the seafront, renowned for spectacular views of the Gulf and Mount Vesuvius, as well as the enchanting legend of the magical egg hidden in its foundations. From there, we’ll stroll to Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the city’s grandest and most elegant squares, framed by the majestic Royal Palace and the Basilica of San Francesco da Paola.
For the return to Vomero, we can choose between the funicular or the metro, enjoying a bit more of Naples’ unique atmosphere.

Matthew è in città per una settimana e per trascorrere del tempo insieme abbiamo organizzato una passeggiata urbana alla scoperta di alcuni dei luoghi più suggestivi di Napoli.
Il nostro itinerario inizierà con una colazione nel quartiere Vomero, presso Stairs, intorno alle 10:30. Da lì, ci sposteremo verso la Certosa di San Martino, un luogo ricco di storia e panorami mozzafiato, per poi scendere lungo la Pedamentina, un antico sentiero che collega il Vomero al centro storico. Proseguiremo attraversando Corso Vittorio Emanuele e il Petraio, fino a raggiungere Piazza San Pasquale, dove potremo pranzare da Tucci’s o scegliere un’altra opzione nelle vicinanze.
Nel pomeriggio, ci dirigeremo verso il celebre Castel dell’Ovo, la fortezza più antica di Napoli, situata sul lungomare e famosa per le sue viste spettacolari sul Golfo e sul Vesuvio, oltre che per la suggestiva leggenda dell’uovo magico nascosto nelle sue fondamenta. Da lì, faremo una passeggiata fino a Piazza del Plebiscito, una delle piazze più monumentali ed eleganti della città, incorniciata dal maestoso Palazzo Reale e dalla Basilica di San Francesco da Paola.
Per il ritorno al Vomero, potremo scegliere tra la funicolare o la metro, godendoci ancora un po’ dell’atmosfera unica di Napoli.
Durante la passeggiata potrebbero esserci lievi variazioni nel percorso per adattarci al gruppo e alle condizioni del momento.
