Get ready — the city transforms into a giant moving festival!
The famous Ljubljana Dragon Carnival (Zmajev karneval) is back, bringing thousands of colorful masks, drummers, folk performers, and children’s groups into the streets of the old town.
We’re going together as Ljubljana International to enjoy the parade, meet new people, and celebrate the most playful day of the year.
📍 The Plan:
Meeting Time: 11:00 AM (Sharp)
Meeting Point: Kongresni trg (Congress Square) – We will meet at the center of the square to catch the climax of the parade and the musical performances.
🍩 What to Expect:
Traditional Vibes: See the Kurenti in action (the loud, hairy creatures with bells).
Food & Drink: We’ll grab traditional pustni krofi (donuts) and hot drinks as we explore the festivities.
The After-Party: Once the parade wraps up around 14:00, the group will head to a nearby spot for drinks and social vibes.
