#9 MLMilan: Guided Automation with KNIME - Intelligently Automating ML

Dear all,

Here we are with a new event from ML Milan that will take place @Talent Garden Merano. This meetup event is co-hosted with KNIME and Target Research where you will learn some aspects of automated ML tools (in particular with KNIME) and some industry examples.

“Automated Machine Learning: Just How Much?”
Paolo will show how to build a more transparent application for automated machine learning using KNIME Software. It will have an input user interface to control the settings for data preparation, model training (e.g. using deep learning, random forest, etc.), hyperparameter optimization, and feature engineering. The trained models will be shown in the end in an interactive dashboard to visualize the results with model interpretability techniques.

Paolo Tamagnini
Paolo Tamagnini works as a Data Scientist for KNIME in the evangelism team in Berlin. After his graduation at Sapienza University and a research internship at NYU, Paolo has run various workshops in the US and Europe and has developed a number of reusable KNIME guided analytics applications for automated machine learning and data exploration.

“Advanced analytics for reliability prediction in the automotive industry”
In recent years ARVAL Italy, market leader in the full-service vehicle leasing industry, has identified the data enhancement through information management and analytics as one of the core company's objectives. In this framework, ARVAL, supported by Target Research, has recently developed a project aimed at predicting the reliability of its vehicle fleet. Taking advantage of several Machine Learning models, the analysis has defined a "complex function" that allows to evaluate the impact of some vehicle features on reliability dimensions, as well as predicting them.

Daniele Tonini is an experienced advisor in the field of advanced business analytics. In the last 10 years, he designed and deployed predictive analytics systems, data quality management and dynamic reporting tools, mainly for Customer Intelligence, Risk Management and Pricing applications. He is Contract Professor at Bocconi University (DEC Department) since 2008 and at University of Insubria since 2013. He currently teaches Statistics, Predictive Analytics for Data Driven Decision Making, Big Data and Databases, Market Research and Quantitative Methods for Management.

Calogero Iannello is an Expert in the Business Intelligence domain, from the Data Ingestion to the Data Visualization, providing expert advice to the Business Owners and how to transform Insights into Actions.
He’s in Arval Italy from 2017 into the Business Engineering and Organization Department as responsible of the Data Intelligence Projects aimed to “Get Value” from Data collected by the Company together with the Telematics Data coming from the Vehicles.
