Title of Talk:
Kafka's New Reality: When Diskless and AOT Change Everything
Abstract:
This talk explores how KIP-1150 (Diskless Topics) and JEP 483 (AOT Class Loading) are reshaping Apache Kafka. KIP-1150 introduces a paradigm shift by enabling Kafka to leverage object storage, reducing storage costs and simplifying scalability. JEP 483 accelerates Java application startup, crucial for Kafka's performance.
We'll delve into the architecture and benefits of these advancements, demonstrating their impact on Kafka's performance, cost-effectiveness, and deployment in modern data architectures. Discover how these changes pave the way for a faster, more efficient, and cloud-native Kafka.
