Welcome to Mix and Mingle Walks! This walking group will offer over 50 different walking trailers in all parts of Toronto. We are a walking group that is more on the leisure side as we don't walk to slow or too fast. We are open to anyone that loves to walk, that wants to walk more and to get more exercise. This group is for those that want to meet other members as they are walking. I hope by the event of the walk, you have met a new friends or something more. We also respect people's wishes, we never reach out to any members that we have not met or have not asked to be reaches to.
This group is open to everyone and anyone on Meetup.
Toronto has many different trails ravines, City neighborhood, parks, walking paths and hiking trails. We will be one of the busiest and diverse walking group on Meetup. Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world. We are a friendly and easy going group that believes everyone will be treated with respect. All events we be transit accessible.

Evening Walk at the Brick Works: Join us for an even at The Brick Works! They have a great pound and a little area. We will start at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and end at Rosedale Subway Station to the Brickworks

Meetup Details
PLEASE NOTE: There are 3 entrances to the cemetery. CLICK ON THE GOOGLE MAP to see where we will be meeting on YONGE STREET. If you end up at the wrong entrance, you will not be able to join us for the walk as the cemetery has many paths.
Meetup Spot: I will be standing close to the gates inside Mount Pleasant Cemetery at the Yonge Street entrance and I will be wearing my Moose Hat. There are MANY enteances OFF OF YONGE. You want the one with BIG ARCH WAY.
Meetup Time: 6:30am

END SPOT: Yonge and Davisville Station.
After The Walk: After, Let's head over to the Crown and Dragon for some drinks and wings. It's about a 5 min walk from the station.

SnackMore About the Brick Works: The city of Toronto as a lot of wonderful hiking trailers. One of them happens to be the one that will take you to the Brick Works. From 1889 to the 1980s the Don Valley Brick Works was one of Canada’s pre-eminent brickyards. In the 1990s, the City and TRCA raised approximately $6 million to restore the site’s quarry as a park and natural area. It opened in 1996, the park is an awe-inspiring haven for wildlife and naturalists alike at the heart of Toronto’s ravines. With the winter season upon us why not enjoy a winter wonderland walk to the historic Brick Works. One can never know what they will see on this walk!
Can I Just Leave?: Any time you like. It should take about 3hrs with a small break.

High Park Station to Old Mills Station Walk: Join me for this amazing walk where we get a little bit of everything. We are going to go through a park, a long the water front, throught parts of City and walk up the Humber River....did I mention we will be have some ice cream!!!!!
This is a 12Km walk and it's not hard just a little long and you do have to be able to walk up some stairs at the end.
Meetup DetailsMeetup Location: I will be waiting at the High Park Sign on the west side at Bloor and High Park Ave and I will be wearing my Moose Hat.
End point: Old Mills Subway Station subway station.
Meetup Time: 11:00am...I will only wait 5mins

What to expect on the walk:
We will first start out at the Subway station and wait for everyone. We will have a brief stop at the bathrooms in High Park and then keep walking through the park. We will then walk a long Sunnyside Boardwalk heading over to Humber Bay Shores Park. We will take a 30min break. We then walk to Tom’s Dairy Freeze which serves one of the best soft serve ices in the City. Then we will make our way over to Old Mill's Subway.High Park

Sunset Mount Pleasant Cemetery: Join me for a light walk of Mount Pleasant Cemetery as we enjoy the sun setting. We will walk for about 90mins through Mount Pleasant which is one of the largest cemetery in Toronto and it has a feel as if you are in some public gardens.
Did you know when it first open in 1876, people in Toronto would dress up, take the street car up Yonge and spend the day in the Cemetery? They would even bring a lunch and enjoy the whole afternoon before heading back downtown.
Dinner: Please join us after for dinner at Swiss Chalet. They have great food at a good vaule which is hard to find these days.
Please Note: Don't sign up if you are not 100% sure you can make it from work.

Unionville Hiking Trail: Join us for an afternoon of walking through some trails in Unionville. If you have never been to old Unionvillw you missing out.

PLEASE NOTE: We will have TWO Meetup spots to meet everyone. For those that like to join me, we will be taking the go train and for those closer to Unionville or driving we will meet at the Unionville Starbucks. They have a lot of parking. We will be walk from the Go station in Unionville which is about 20mins.
Meetup Location #1: I will meet everyone outside of the Fairmont Royal York @ 9:30am and I will be wearing my Moose Hat. We will only wait till 9:45am. If you are someone that always runs late. Here is your chance to come early. Once the bus is gone you will not be able to join us.
Cost for GO: It is about $4 per trip.
Meetup Location #2: I will meet everyone outside of the Starbucks @11:00amish and I will be wearing my Moose Hat. We will wait till 11:05am before going on our hike.
