This event is a collaborative effort with FPS Finance, specifically organized by the Directorate: FPS Finance - Special Tax Inspectorate - Fifth Directorate.

Please note that while KNIME is partnering with FPS Finance, this invitation is extended solely by the Directorate FPS Finance.Scheduled for May 28th, 2024 (Tuesday) from 09:30 to 10:45, the event will commence with a reception from 08:30 to 09:15, allowing for a warm welcome and coffee.

The day's agenda begins with various presentations, featuring presentations from FPS Finance, the European Commission, and KNIME.

Meet the speakers:

**Pieter Vercruysse -** Pieter is the head of the e-audit team at FPS Finance. Their unit provides support to tax inspectors in their fight against fiscal fraud, they collect and analyze tax-relevant data and try to use the most effective methods and tools.

**Pascal Beaujeant -** Pascal is an e-auditor and, among other things, specializes in KNIME, text mining and the use of regular expressions.

**Maria Claudia Bodino -** Team Leader - Digital Innovation Policy, European Commission

**Masoud Panshiri -** Masoud is a Sales Director at KNIME who is responsible for operations for the Customer Care Team consisting of Associate Account Managers, Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success Managers.

During this event, we will explore a fraud detection use case and we will exploit the multi-language capabilities of GenAI to automatically generate custom alert messages.

During this hands-on workshop you will get familiar with the free low-code tool [KNIME Analytics Platform](https://www.knime.com/knime-analytics-platform), techniques for fraud detection, and the use of GenAI via the [KNIME AI Extension (Labs)](https://hub.knime.com/knime/extensions/org.knime.python.features.llm/latest/).

Completely new to KNIME? We’ve got you covered! We will start with an introduction to KNIME Analytics Platform, making it easy to follow along even for newbies!

Without any coding experience you will learn to:

* Detect frauds in investment contracts visually and using statistical techniques
* Prompt engineer an LLM via the OpenAI integration
* Create a vector store from a corpus of different types of investment contracts (the knowledge base)
* Build and deploy a data app to display email alerts and make it available to authenticated users on a web browser

Other KNIME AI integrations we will discuss include GPT4All, Hugging Face, Chroma, FAISS and more.

Meet the Speakers:

**Corey Weisinger** is a Data Scientist with KNIME, based in Minneapolis, MN. He studied Mathematics at Michigan State University focusing on Actuarial Techniques and Functional Analysis. Before coming to KNIME, he worked as an Analytics Consultant for the auto industry in Detroit, Michigan. He currently focuses on Signal Processing and Numeric Prediction techniques and is the author of the Alteryx to KNIME guidebook.

**Pedro Medina,** E.E. founded and serves as Chief Data Farmer at Haystack Data Solutions – an Advanced Analytics Agency specializing in custom data solutions for food & ag companies. Through a strong background in business and technology management, coupled with deep expertise in business intelligence and advanced analytics, Mr. Medina’s mission is to help food organizations optimize their strategic data assets by converting complex data into intelligence and innovation.

Meet the speakers:

**Harald Wenisch:** Harald is CEO of ABAX, he is also acting in business consulting, systemic consulting with a MSc degrees in both fields. His first contact with AI was in the nineties via neuronal networks and document classification, at this time the usability of these methods was not easy, in comparison to the integration in KNIME right now. He sees great potential to improve processes and organization under respect of the strength and possibilities of the models which must be clearly communicated to satisfy customer needs.

**Tan Nguyen:** Tan is Data Analytics Consultant at ABAX. In the past 15 years he has been building up Business Intelligence Platforms and Data Warehouses for different Branches and since 7 years working intensely with KNIME. In his opinion the integration of AI in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence can create additional advantages but won’t be a substitution.

**Linus Krause:** Linus has a mixed background in both psychology and computer science. During his bachelor’s degree in psychology in Hamburg, he worked as a research assistant in various fields and as a tutor for statistics. To bridge the gap between “Social Sciences” and “Computer Science”, he additionally studied Computer Science (BA) for one year. He is currently studying “Social and Economic Data Science” (MA) in Konstanz with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs). Linus is now working as a student trainee at KNIME. He started out analyzing competitors and has since switched to the education team, where he creates teaching materials and also teaches KNIME himself.
