## **About our next meeting**

We will be graced with 2 speakers discussing San Pedro cactus care, cactus as sacred medicine and ceremonial practices. We'll have Rodney Fox, along with our very own, Kate Hawke.

Kate has been working with psychedelics since the 1970s and trauma since the ‘80s. As a lifelong student of expanded states of consciousness and their value for reducing suffering, she has long held a question to guide her explorations: What does it take to heal and wake up together? She’s now focused in the area of death, dying, and psychedelics.

In 1999 Kate brought a chunk of San Pedro cactus home to Arizona from the Telluride mushroom festival because she thought it might be fun to grow a few. They ended up filling her 30 foot greenhouse- and they keep growing! She will be sharing what she knows about caring for them, and offering some cactus plants for you to take home and begin nurturing with your love and intentions.

Rodney has been sitting with Ayahuasca since 2012 when he was looking for a cure for his Lyme disease. In 2021, after an intense medicine retreat in Peru, he saw the symptoms of that disease rapidly diminish. That same year he found San Pedro in Cusco and further healed himself from this supposedly “incurable” disease.

He is now facilitating monthly San Pedro gatherings following the methodologies he learned there in Peru, hybridized with his own style of ceremony, often seeing miraculous results that western medicine cannot emulate.

Bring your stories or questions about both macro-dose or micro-dose experiences of psychedelic medicines.
