Hello and Welcome to The Metro Detroit Fun & Fitness meetup site. This site is owned by the GM Ski Club. For those who are unfamiliar with us we are more than just a ski club and we are not affiliated with General Motors (long story). We are simply a dynamic social club. We use this site to reach out to active folks like you, let you know what we have going on and invite you to participate in our events. Although some events have discounted prices for members of the GM Ski Club, you don't have to be a member of the club to participate. We hope to see you soon at our upcoming events. Enjoy fitness activities like Golf, Bowling, Biking, Hiking, Camping, Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Kayaking, Tennis, etc , laugh and have fun while at it. Not so Hardcore, fitness but fun fitness... For just plain fun, there's concerts, eating out, or just meet'n'greet events.

Our Annual Summer Picnic will be at Hickory Grove Pavillion in River Bends Park, located in Shelby Township (off 22 mile between Ryan and Mound) volleyball, bike ride, nature hike, cards, balloon toss and more.
TIME: Picnic runs from 12 to 7PM tentative schedule:12:00 Gathering. Check in with Stan.
12:30 - 1:30 cornhole tournament. Sign up upon arrival, Prize awarded to winner.
1:30 paved bike ride and nature trail hike.
3 PM - A catered chicken dinner will be served. There will also be limited hamburgers provided. Ice cream, pop and water will be available - BYOB - Beer and Wine.
5:30 balloon toss contest. Prize awarded to winner. Euchre and card games all afternoon, with euchre instruction to learning players after the meal. Also limited karaoke upon request.COST: Early bird $20 for GM Ski Club members, $25 for non members, August 22nd and day of picnic $5 more per person.
