Improv for Actors (SF)
Actors who currently improvise or are interested in improvisation get together to attend Leela's weekly drop-in improv classes: The Art of Improvisation in San Francisco. These classes are a great opportunity for actors to sharpen their skills and become more fluent in improvisation.
Studying improv helps actors get more commercial gigs and is a major asset in doing better at auditions. Improvisation is a commercial necessity for quite a few reasons. There are many non-scripted commercials being cast today so casting directors usually choose to bring in actors who are good with improv for those jobs. Additionally, those who have done improv training will usually do so much better at those commercials auditions.
Classes are located in the SF Chronicle building only one block from the Powell MUNI/BART station.

Step 1.) You must register and pay $25 on Eventbrite (https://thursdayimprovclass.eventbrite.com) to secure your place in the class (not just on this Meetup). Online registration ends at 7:00 PM every Thursday for that week. $25 online registration for the class is located here: https://thursdayimprovclass.eventbrite.com
Step 2.) Everyone meets in front of the building entrance at 450 Geary St, checks-in, and then goes upstairs to the classroom. Following the class there's often an after party at a nearby place. It's a great time, hope to see you there!
