Wild Abruzzo: Hike above 2000 meters / 6560 feet!

WILD ABRUZZO EXPERIENCE: Join us for a hike surrounded by wilderness, as we start to explore a beech forest, make our way past a valley, to end up above 2000 m / 6560 ft with a stunning view of the mountains surrounding us!

About
🥾 We’ll make our way up Mt. La Torricella after crossing a beautiful beech forest, past a picnic area located at the trail head, and once we made it past a valley, with a scenery that might remind you of some of the landscapes in Austria – however, we are in the wild heart of Abruzzo. Animal encounters are possible, as the terrain is used by free-roaming horses and cattle.

▶ Difficulty Level: Moderate/Difficult (Distance: about 14 kilometers, 500 m elevation gain – includes uneven and rocky terrain. Possible animal encounters)

Important: Please get in touch before booking if you need to car pool,
or if you can provide a seat in your car to other participants. Note
that transport is not included, but we facilitate car pooling.

ℹ️ The final duration of the hike and the itinerary may vary, depending
on weather conditions, unexpected obstacles (e.g. a fallen tree along
the way), or other safety reasons. It is at the discretion of the
professional hiking guide to determine alternatives or to shorten or
extend the experience.

This is a professional activity in accordance with European Union
legislation and Italian law no. 4 dating to 2003. I am a professional
guide enrolled in the register of the Italian Association of
Interpretive Nature Guides - AIGAE.

What to bring
🟢 Obligatory: Hiking shoes, 1.5 liters of water, layered clothing suited for a hike, warm clothes and jacket (including rain coat), pack your own lunch
🟡 Recommended: Comfortable backpack, hat (protection from both sun and rain), trail snacks, food
🟠 Optional: Hiking poles, electrolytes
