About the hike
- Start in Anversa degli Abruzzi and follow ancient trails through riverside scenery and the stunning Sagittario Gorges.
- Climb up to Castrovalva, the tiny ridge-top village famously painted by Escher, and enjoy sweeping mountain views.
- Return through a cool forested section for a shaded, peaceful finish.

- Loop starting and ending in Anversa degli Abruzzi
- Distance: ~8 km | Elevation gain: ~360 m
- Difficulty: Medium — uneven, rocky terrain and some steeper sections. Suitable for regular hikers comfortable on rough trails.
