Title: Why is Japanese postal code data difficult to handle?

アブストラクト: 日本の郵便番号がどういったデータを持っているかご存知でしょうか? 郵便番号は日本の誰もが利用している身近なオープンデータですが実は複雑なデータです。またその内容は海外の住所特定の概念とは異なっています。このトークでは郵便番号というオープンデータを深堀りするとともに当社オープンコレクターが開発を行っている郵便番号住所検索APIサービス「ケンオール」の技術についても紹介します。

Abstract: Do you know what kind of data Japanese postal codes have? It is familiar open data used by everyone in Japan, but it is actually complicated data. Also, the content it has is different from the concept of address identification overseas. In this talk, we will dive into the data of Japanese postal codes and introduce the technology of the postal code / address search API service "Kenall" being developed by Open Collector Inc.

Shimauchiさんはオープンコレクターで1年間ソリューションアーキテクトを務めています。彼は現在システム開発用 郵便番号・住所検索APIサービス「ケンオール」の開発・運営を行っており、Pythonやpandasを使用して郵便番号データをパースしたり、データ基盤の開発を行っています。彼のバックグラウンドは、OSS、Hadoopを中心としたビッグデータ基盤、そしてNLPです。

Shimauchi has been a Solution Architect for Open Collector Inc. for a year. He is currently developing and operating the API service "Kenall" for system development, using Python and pandas to parse postal code data and develop data infrastructure. His background is OSS, a big data infrastructure centered on Hadoop, and NLP.

Title: How can Open Data contribute to society? Discussion with the Kenall developer

アブストラクト: オープンデータは注目されてはいるものの、それが社会にどのように役立つかわかる例はまだ多くありません。ここでは(ケンオールを例として)どのようにオープンデータを「ボランティア」ではなく「プロダクション」活動につなげていくことができるかをお題形式でSho Shimauchiさん、尾上洋介さん(日本大学)、小川英幸さん(合同会社長目)と共にZoom参加者のみなさんと議論します。

Abstract: Although Open Data is in the spotlight, there are still few examples of how it can be useful to society. Here, we will discuss with Sho Shimauchi and Zoom participants how Open Data can be connected to "production" activities instead of "volunteer" (using Kenall as an example).

尾上さんは2019年から日本大学 文理学部情報科学科 准教授を務めています。 彼は行政事業の情報をまとめたJUDGIT!というWebサイトを開発・運営しています。

Yosuke Onoue has been an associate professor at the Department of Information Science, Nihon University since 2019. He develops and operates a website called JUDGIT !, which summarizes information on Japanese administrative projects.

He has talked about open data and its visualizations at some PyCon s.
He is the leader of the Hannari Python community.
