As a special New Year event,
We are hosting an international cultural exchange where you can experience traditional Japanese New Year games!
You’ll get to try classic activities such as kendama, karuta, sugoroku, and fukuwarai—fun traditions enjoyed in Japan during the New Year.
Everyone is welcome: complete beginners and advanced Japanese learners!
🎁 Event Activities
① Kendama Challenge
Try this traditional Japanese toy that’s fun even for beginners.
The excitement when someone succeeds always brings the whole group together!
② Karuta
Use beginner-friendly picture cards to practice listening, reacting, and simple Japanese expressions.
It’s a great team activity that helps everyone bond quickly.
③ Sugoroku Exchange Game
A simple dice-rolling board game with interactive prompts on each space—
from “Japanese phrase challenge” to “question time,” all designed to spark conversation.
It’s easy to play and perfect for meeting new people!
④ Fukuwarai
A classic New Year game where you place facial features onto a blank face while blindfolded.
The funny results always make everyone laugh!

After the games, enjoy chatting, taking photos, and connecting with other participants.
