To support the growth of the augmented reality ecosystem, DAQRI is hosting a free 2-day Augmented Reality Bootcamp at the DAQRI offices, located at Los Angeles Center Studios, June 26 and 27. The event’s main objectives are building awareness and building expertise in the community.

Augmented Reality Bootcamp + Ideastorm

The Bootcamp will consist of a full day of professional training with AR experts from the partner organizations as well as a well-known mentor guest. On Day 2, designers, developers, mareketers and creatives will have the chance to immediately apply what they’ve learned in an Ideastorm setting. Prizes will be awarded for the best AR app concepts created during the Ideastorm.

FAQ:

Do I have to come with a team?

You absolutely can, but it's not necessary. You'll meet like-minded augmented reality enthusiasts with different skillsets at the event.

Do I have to build an app to win a prize?

It's unrealistic to expect to be able to build a complete augmented reality application in a couple of days. So to win a prize, you will just need to present a detailed concept based on the foundation of technical and UX knowledge you've gained during the event. Building a functional prototype – of at least the central component of your concept – and presenting it in a unique way will get extra points.

Can I just attend the agency mixer?
