Applied AI & DevOps hosted by WorldRemit
詳細
This will be our fifth meet-up; the first four were a resounding success and we had just over 100 attendees at our last two. We are partnering with WorldRemit for this meetup who have kindly agreed to host at their offices in Westminster.
On the night we will have beer, cider, wine, pizza and lots of time to network! We'll kick-off by introducing Chi Square Analytics, WorldRemit and our guest speakers.
Evening itinerary:
6:15 pm - 7 pm - Networking and more importantly pizza and beers/ciders
7:00 pm - 7:20 pm - Luca Palmieri - Lead Engineer @ True Layer
Title - 0, 1, many - Machine Learning in production
The industry approach to ML is changing.
We have been discussing adoption for the past few years: who is experimenting with ML models? Which verticals could leverage this opportunity the most? How do we convince execs that ML is an opportunity?
This phase is nearing its end, ML has proven it's technology potential.
A new chapter is starting: how do we measure success for an ML team? What skillets are required? What are the best practices for organising work and making sure models "make it" to production safely?
The talk will cover the most common obstacles and a brief overview of new methodologies to overcome them (MLOps).
7:20 pm - 7:35 pm - Julio C. Vargas MBA Ph.D. - Senior Machine Learning Engineer @ WorldRemit
Julio will be discussing how the team are using machine learning to improve their customer journey by automating the underlying processes required to achieve high levels of customer engagement and to perform frictionless transaction validation.
7:35 pm - 7:45 pm - 10 minute drinks break (fill up on that free cider and beer)
7:45 pm - 8:05 pm - Piero Posocco – Head of Data Science @ Liberis
Pierro will cover how Data Science is transforming the way commercial lending works and how it is helping Liberis to achieve its ambitious goals.
“How can Risk Modelling keep up with the rate of growth it is currently seeing? How can Data Science (and technology in general) help a UK company scale globally? How will the adoption of modern data sharing solutions make the work of people more relevant?”
8:05 pm - more networking and beers at the local pub.
We look forward to seeing you all!
