(Tentative) Day Hike

A Great Autumn season is here! Looking forward to another hike!

MEETING SPOT: The Main Entrance at Yufuin Station.
Time: Meet at 8:45am, departing at 8:55am (flexible, depending on transposition times ) If you are commuting, please factor in transportation times.

WHERE: In Beppu, Ōita, Japan.

INFO: [Bring Lunch, Water, Rain-gear ]

1. This day trip will be a walk/ hike from Yufudake main entrance, up to the peak of Mt. Yufu.
2. From JR Yufuin station to mountain entrance we will take bus [720 Yen round-trip] and explore Mt. Yufu. The scenery must be amazing through the trail and at the top.
3. Depending on our energy level we could go to Mt. Tsurumi(right next to Mt. Yufu) OR we could take a bus down to city and enjoy the onsen!!! (optional).

HIKING SKILL: This is probably a medium strenuous hike We will be walking uphill, with a little bit of rock climbing with hanging chain. There is a combination of road and dirt paths. We will be hiking for about ４.5 hours(Entrance-top-Entrance).

PREPARING: Please come well rested and ready for a day's hike. Wear proper hiking boots/ comfortable shoes. Bring a daypack (backpack) with: sunscreen, lunch, snacks, a water bottle, and a jacket in case it rains (because it often does). If you have trekking poles, they are always nice to have!

IMPORTANT: If you have any medication you need (inhaler, ect) please bring that with you.

If you have a camera, please bring it to document our adventure! I will have mine! We are looking forward to "meeting up" with you on our adventure!
