The true magic of history is that moment when you realize we are connected to the people of the past.
I fell in love with history while exploring my own family roots, and now I work as a local tour guide in Kyoto under the name "Nanahaya."
Our theme this time is everyone's favorite: Sakura (Cherry Blossoms).
Why do these flowers capture our hearts so deeply?
I’ll share the fascinating 1,000-year history of "Hanami" (flower viewing) in a fun and easy-to-understand way!

The talk will be given in Japanese first, followed by an English summary. I am currently practicing my English, so I appreciate your patience and look forward to chatting with you!

「歴史って、教科書の暗記でしょ？」……もしそう思っていたら、もったいない！
歴史の面白さは、今の自分たちと「過去の人」が繋がっていると気づく瞬間にあります。
私は、自分のルーツを辿るうちに歴史の虜になり、今では「七羽屋」として京都の街を案内しています。
今回のテーマは、みんな大好き「桜」。
なぜ桜はこんなにも私たちの心を掴んで離さないのか？その理由を、1000年の歴史をギュッと凝縮して楽しくお話しします。
