Nagano Prefecture is blessed by nature and weather for sake production. At the same time the region is a patchwork of territories landlocked by high peaks and snow during winter (at least until recent times). Many breweries stayed small, most developed an original style. For the smaller ones, products very seldom reach the Tokyo customer. That is the case of producers in the city of Okaya, near Lake Suwa, for example.
Sample 5-6 different nihonshu styles, all from the shores of Lake Suwa, guided by French sake expert Sebastien Lemoine. Watch and hear about Suwa region, enjoy delicious food showcasing Nagano produce while drinking beautiful sake.
Join us at the Sasaki LAB, a modern and relaxing space designed to connect people around a kitchen space, very conveniently located in central Tokyo near Jimbocho. Languages: English, Japanese and French.
