🐱 Cat Day: Tamano Ontake Shrine & Jōkōji Park Hiking Let’s Visit a Cat Shrine🐾

This is a relaxed hiking event where we walk while sightseeing at Tamano Ontake Shrine, known for having many cats, and Jōkōji Park, a nature-rich park developed around the historic Jōkōji Temple.

Jōkōji Park is centered around Jōkōji Temple, a historic Buddhist temple founded in the Heian period, and is known for its quiet forests, valley scenery, and peaceful walking trails where visitors can enjoy both nature

• Total distance: approx. 8 km
• Estimated time: about 3 hours + breaks
• Sightseeing included
• Difficulty: 2–4 / 10 (beginner to lower-intermediate)
• There are approximately four restrooms along the hiking route

🚃 Transportation (example)
• JR Nagoya Station 9:02 → (JR Chūō Line, bound for Tajimi) → Jōkōji Station 9:36
• You can also travel via Nagoya → Kanayama → Jōkōji, but trains on this route are limited.
Please check train schedules online in advance.

🚗 For those coming by car, please use the parking lot at Jōkōji Park.
The hike will start from Jōkōji Station, so please walk there by the meeting time.
It takes about 20 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the station.

🐱 猫の日｜猫がいっぱいの玉野御嶽神社＆定光寺公園ハイキング 🐾
猫がたくさんいることで知られる玉野御嶽神社と、長い歴史を持つ定光寺を中心に整備された定光寺公園を、観光しながらのんびり歩くハイキングイベントです。
定光寺公園は、平安時代に開かれた古刹・定光寺の周辺に広がる自然豊かな公園で、静かな森や渓谷の景観、歴史を感じる散策路が魅力です。

🚗 車で来られる方は定光寺公園の駐車場をご利用ください。ハイキングは定光寺駅がらスタートなので集合時間までに歩いてきてください　駐車場から駅までは約20分です
