🌿Nakasendo Trail - Visit Samegai-post town See Baikamo Flowers 🌸 醒井宿の梅花藻を見に行こう

We will walk the historic Nakasendo Trail from Kashiwabara-juku to Samegai-juku and Banba-juku.

Samegai-juku is famous for its beautiful crystal-clear spring water and the rare “Baikamo” flowers.
Baikamo are delicate white aquatic flowers that bloom only in very clean and cold water streams. During summer, the flowers gently float along the clear waterways of Samegai, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere.

Let’s enjoy the nostalgic old post town scenery, beautiful nature, and relaxing summer vibes together.

12:30 PM — Explore Samegai-juku & lunch break
・There are a few cafés and restaurants in Samegai-juku. Food is also available at a local supermarket, but items may sell out. Please bring your own lunch if needed.
・Enjoy local snacks while sightseeing

1:40 PM — Resume hiking

3:00 PM — Explore Banba-juku

4:00 PM — Finish at Maibara Station

Mostly flat hiking trail

Walking Time: About 3.5 hours + breaks & sightseeing

Difficulty: 1–4 / 10
Although we will walk 13 km, this is a beginner-friendly Nakasendo trail hike.

※ If you feel tired, you may finish the event early and return home from Samegai.

柏原宿〜醒井宿〜番場宿を歩きます。

醒井宿は、透き通るような清流と美しい宿場町の風景で有名です。
特に「梅花藻（ばいかも）」は、綺麗で冷たい湧水の中でしか咲かない貴重な水中花です。

夏になると、小さな白い花が清流に咲き、涼しげで幻想的な風景を楽しむことができます。

中山道の歴史ある街並みと、美しい自然に癒されながら、のんびりハイキングを楽しみましょう。
