Yanesen is a nickname derived from the first syllables of Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi, a popular area where the atmosphere of old downtown Tokyo remains strong.

First, let's gather at a cafe to enjoy English conversation and international exchange in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterward, we'll take the subway to the Yanesen area.

Narrow alleys, old-fashioned shops, charming traditional Japanese house cafes, and unique galleries dot the streets. Simply strolling leisurely here soothes the soul. Particularly popular spots include the beautiful sunset views at Yuyake Dandan and the Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street, perfect for enjoying street food.

Additionally, the area features historic temples and shrines alongside quiet residential neighborhoods, offering a nostalgic atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

📍 Nezu Shrine (2:00 PM)
A historic shrine in Bunkyo Ward. Its Edo-period main hall is designated an Important Cultural Property. Highlights include spring azaleas and the beautiful thousand torii gates leading into the shrine grounds.

📍 Sendagi
An area brimming with old-town charm, dotted with traditional shops, cafes, and used bookstores. Enjoy a leisurely stroll in its relaxed atmosphere.

📍 Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street
A shopping street lined with old-fashioned delis, sweets shops, and variety stores, perfect for sampling food on the go or finding souvenirs.

📍 End (4:00–4:30 PM)
*The nearest station is JR Nishi-Nippori Station (3-minute walk).

⛩️ Important Notice
- This is not a guided tour, so no guide will be provided.
- From 12:10 to 1:20 PM, you can participate in meetups at the café.
- Last call for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, a participation fee of ¥500 will be charged.
- Please arrive at the cafe by 1:00 PM at the latest.
- Joining midway after departure is not permitted.
- You cannot register for this event upon arrival at the cafe on the day.
- After departure, we will not return to the cafe; the event will conclude at the destination.
- If severe weather or other conditions make departure difficult, you may remain at the cafe and enjoy the social gathering until its conclusion.
- Canceled if fewer than three participants.
- Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.
- You may not bring bicycles to the event.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer. We will direct you to the nearest station.

Participation Fee: *FREE* (Regardless of nationality or gender)
* Upon arrival, please pay 500 JPY upfront. After completing the evening walk and returning to the café, please pay the difference for your selected drink
* Please note that if you leave without returning to the café, no refund will be issued
* One drink order is required (from 500 JPY)
* An additional drink is from 300 JPY
* You can also order alcohol
* Light meal is from 100 JPY
* A one-time “Member Passport” issuance fee of 100 JPY applies

- This meetup group is for members only. To be a member, you have to read and understand the "Rule Book" and agree to its contents.

谷根千とは、谷中・根津・千駄木の頭文字を取った愛称で、東京の下町情緒が色濃く残る人気エリアです。

まずはカフェにて、英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、和やかな雰囲気の中で親睦を深めましょう。その後、地下鉄で谷根千エリアへ向かいます。

細い路地や昔ながらの商店、趣のある古民家カフェ、個性的なギャラリーなどが点在し、ゆったりと歩くだけでも心が和みます。中でも、夕暮れの風景が美しい夕やけだんだんや、食べ歩きが楽しめる谷中銀座商店街は人気スポットです。

また、歴史ある寺社や静かな住宅街が広がり、都心にいながらどこか懐かしい雰囲気を感じられるのも魅力のひとつ。

- こちらはガイドツアーではないため、ガイドのご案内はございません。
- 午後12時10分から1時20分までは、カフェでの交流会にご参加いただけます。
- ドリンクのラストオーダーは、出発の30分前となります。
- ドリンクのご注文がない場合は、参加費として500円を頂戴いたします。
- 遅くとも午後1時までにお越しください。
- 出発後の途中参加はできません。
- 当日、カフェ到着後に本イベントへお申し込みいただくことはできません。
- 出発後はカフェには戻らず、現地解散となります。
- 荒天等により実施が難しい場合は、カフェにて各交流会を最後までお楽しみいただけます。
- 当日の参加者が3名未満の場合は、中止とさせていただきます。
- 歩きやすい服装・靴でご参加ください。
- 自転車を携えてのご参加はできません。
- 途中で離脱される場合は、オーガナイザーにお知らせください。最寄りの駅をご案内します。
