The Kanda Myojin Summer Festival is a popular summer event held at Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo. It is a unique festival where traditional Japanese culture meets modern entertainment.

During the festival, you can enjoy Bon Odori, various stage performances, food stalls, and more. The shrine grounds are filled with people enjoying the lively atmosphere of a traditional Japanese summer festival. One of the highlights is experiencing delicious festival food, music, and entertainment while soaking up the festive atmosphere.

☕ The event starts at a café! We'll first meet at a café and enjoy English conversation and international exchange in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Before we head out, we'll have a short self-introduction session, so first-time participants and those joining alone are more than welcome!

After enjoying some time getting to know each other at the café, we'll walk through the streets of Tokyo at night on our way to Kanda Myojin Shrine.

Walking together while enjoying the city lights and the warm summer night atmosphere is also one of the highlights of this event.

Once we arrive at Kanda Myojin Shrine, we'll explore the many food stalls and enjoy the lively festival atmosphere!

Then, we'll join in one of the main highlights of the Kanda Myojin Summer Festival — Bon Odori!
Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese dance that is an iconic part of summer festivals in Japan. People form a circle around a raised platform called a yagura and dance together to the rhythm of traditional music and taiko drums.

Don't worry if you've never danced Bon Odori before! You can simply watch the people around you and follow the easy dance moves. One of the best things about Bon Odori is that everyone can enjoy it together, regardless of nationality, age, or dancing experience.

Whether you're new to Bon Odori or simply love Japanese festivals, everyone is welcome!

Relax in a cozy café atmosphere while enjoying English conversation and international exchange. Before departure, participants will have a chance to introduce themselves, so even first-time attendees can quickly feel comfortable!

Due to the expected heavy crowds on the day, participants will be free to explore on their own after arriving at the venue.

🍺 Delicious Food, Beer & Sake Festival + Festival Stalls
Food vendors and traditional festival stalls from across Japan will be set up throughout the shrine grounds and along the approach to the shrine.

💃 Chiyoda Ward Traditional Bon Odori
Enjoy an authentic traditional Bon Odori festival featuring local dancers from Chiyoda Ward. Dance together around the yagura (raised festival platform) to classic songs such as Tokyo Ondo and Kanda Ondo. Everyone is welcome to join the circle and dance along!

- This meetup is not a guided tour.
- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional 500 JPY will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

神田明神納涼祭りは、東京・神田明神で開催される夏の人気イベントです。伝統的な日本文化と現代的なエンターテインメントが融合した、神田明神ならではの夏祭りを楽しむことができます。

期間中は、盆踊りをはじめ、さまざまなステージイベントや屋台が登場し、境内は多くの人で賑わいます。日本の伝統的な夏祭りの雰囲気を感じながら、屋台グルメや音楽、イベントを楽しめるのも魅力のひとつです。

☕ イベントはカフェからスタート！まずはカフェで、英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、リラックスした雰囲気で自然に会話を楽しみましょう。

出発前には簡単な自己紹介の時間もあるので、初参加の方や一人で参加される方も安心してご参加いただけます。

カフェで交流を楽しんだ後は、夜の東京を散策しながら神田明神へ向かいます。

街の夜景や夏の夜の空気を感じながら、みんなで歩く時間もこのイベントの楽しみのひとつです。

神田明神に到着したら、まずはたくさんの屋台をめぐりながら、お祭りの雰囲気を楽しみましょう！

そして、神田明神納涼祭りの大きな見どころのひとつである盆踊りを、みんなで楽しみます！

盆踊りは、日本の夏祭りを代表する伝統的な踊りです。音楽や太鼓のリズムに合わせて、やぐらを中心にみんなで輪になって踊ります
。

踊り方が分からなくても大丈夫！周りの人の動きを見ながら、簡単な振り付けを真似して楽しむことができます。日本人も外国人も、年齢や国籍に関係なく一緒に楽しめるのが盆踊りの魅力です。

盆踊りが初めての方も、日本のお祭りが好きな方も大歓迎！

💃 千代田区民踊連盟 伝統盆踊り
地元・千代田区の踊り手を中心とした、本格的な伝統盆踊り大会です。定番の東京音頭や神田音頭などの曲に合わせて、やぐらを中心に誰でも輪に入って踊ることができます。
