The Kita-ku show is also back in full swing this year with its tenth official iteration. To celebrate 10 years, there will be 10,000 fireworks over 45
minutes (basically similar scale/density to Tokyo's more famous shows).
いまだに知名度の低めの「北区花火会」も今年でパワーアップで帰ってくる。１０回を迎える記念に、過去最大級の１０万発が北区の夜空を彩ってくれる。たった４５分のショーで、東京の有名な大会に並ぶ密度になる。

We will watch from the Kawaguchi side of the Arakawa, alongside Kawaguchi Public Golf Course. Believe it or not, this area is typically not super crowded, though people usually gather at the top of the embankment.
このイベントで、荒川の川口市側にあるKawaguchi Public Golf Courseから鑑賞する予定。会場外であることもあるが、眺望の良さのわりに普段あまり混まないところで、特に花火の人混みを避けたい人におすすめの鑑賞スポット。

We will be meeting at Kawaguchi-Motogou station at 16:55, outside the ticket gate. We will head towards the viewing point from about 17:10. It'll be a 25 minute walk.
集合は川口元郷駅の改札口外側で16：55。１７：1０ごろから向かう。徒歩２５分ぐらい。

Toilets, Drinks and Food - IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note, there are usually no event toilets in our viewing area. Closest convenience store is a 7-11 that is reasonably close to our viewing point (<5 minutes). The toilet is usually usable, but it does tend to get crowded close to the show's start. Please bear this in mind.
The 7-11 will also probably be the only nearby spot to get any last second drinks or food.
The are usually toilets and a small convenience store in the station too.
鑑賞場所では、トイレも飲食販売は普段ない。近くに７－１１があって、普段トイレを貸してくれるが、もちろん花火開始が近づくと混みあう。要注意です。その７－１１も一番近くの飲食販売所になると思う。

Note for Photographers (non-photographers can disregard)

• Lens: Mid/wide lenses are generally fine from the embankment. Wide lens probably needed if you choose to go up to the riverbank.
• Position: Should have freedom to move about if desired.
