The Ota-ku show has been around for over 30 years, but is one of the least well known shows in the city. At 25 minutes, it's a 'short' show, but with 4,000 shots, it should still be pretty intense, especially as we should be reasonably close to the launching point.
As the show is a part of Ota-ku's annual peace event (taking place on the anniversary of Japan's surrender), the fireworks are usually accompanied by a message of peace (and music). Feels a little different from other shows in this way too.

大田区の花火は３０年間上の歴史を持っているのに、割りと知られていない大会です。それにしても、すごく迫力のあって、密度のある大会なのでまだまだ人気です。２５分で短い方だが、４０００発であることで、もっと長い大会と変わらない密度が期待できると思う。
この大会は大田区の「平和の集い」という平和宣言事業の一環で、花火と一緒に平和の宣言が会場中に流れる。これもこの大会の独特なところです。

Meeting point is outside Rokugoudote Station (Keikyuu), 6:15pm. As with most fireworks shows, the area will get quite busy, so please try to arrive on time. For any latecomers, I will post the location of the viewing spot on the day once it's been decided. We will be somewhere in the main viewing area (多摩川緑地野球場), which is only a 5-10 minute walk from the station.

集合場所は六郷土手駅（京急線）に、６:15。駅周辺は込み合うと思うので、できるだけ早く来てくればさいわいです。遅く来る人がいたら、当日、具体的に場所を掲載する。本会場の多摩川緑地野球場のどこかになると思います。駅から５－１０分程度の歩き。

Meetup Schedule:
6:15pm - Meet outside Rokugoudote Station
~6:25pm - Head towards the viewing spot.
Around 6:35pm - Reach viewing spot
7:30pm - Fireworks start
7:55pm - Fireworks end
The station will be very crowded for awhile after the show finishes, so I'll stay in the area for a little while after the show finishes.

NOTE:
We will be watching from the main area, so toilets and food stalls will be present.

The meetup will only be cancelled if the fireworks themselves are cancelled. I will update on this as necessary.
開催者が花火を実行する限り、雨があっても、このイベントは中止にならない。

Note for photographers:
Due to the nature of the main viewing area, we will reasonably close to where the fireworks are being launched. As such, medium/wide lenses are probably best.

今回は観覧場所が打ち上げ場所から近い方なので、望遠より、広角レンズを使うほうが有利だと思う。
