This is a cycling tour. There is a bicycle rental shop at the starting point.

Do you know that the place where film director Hayao Miyazaki first got his inspiration for "Princess Mononoke" is in Kyoto?
It's Shimyoin Temple. A place that enshrines the first drop of Kamo River.
Why not cycle as far as you like along Kamo River, decorated with fresh greenery and flowers?
Along the way, you will stop at Kamigamo Shrine and Ota Shrine.
Kamigamo Shrine is the shrine of the Kamo clan. It is a World Heritage Site. It is said that the name of Kamo River also comes from the Kamo clan.
Ota Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto, and its wetlands have been there for over 10,000 years. Now, 25,000 irises are in full bloom.
If you have enough energy, on the way back, let's visit the Kyoto Botanical Garden, Imamiya Shrine, which is holding its Kanko Festival, and Funaokayama Hill.
Imamiya Shrine has the world's most delicious food "Aburi Mochi" (aburi rice cakes). (This is my personal opinion.)
All the photos are taken this morning. Photography is prohibited at Shimyoin.
